Video - Film Opening: Story Board

This is the first page of our original story board, we decided it was not how we wanted it so we then did a new more detailed story board to exactly what we had now decided to film. The reason we chosen to change our story board was because we had chosen to make it more practical and then we sat down together and planned out everything agreeing on what we have chosen to change it to.

This is our new story board including each page we have planned which will then become the whole of our two minute film opening. This first section is the night scene which involves jump cuts and close ups of important sections which will appear in the next scene such as the clothes, the props e.g. aviator glasses.

This is the next page of our story board this includes the credits, the images are of the surrounding of when the next scene is about to take place it helps the audience to understand that this is the place where something will happen. We chose to film Worcester's river as the place to film, so we then chose to think of places where we would be able to record which would give the audience a recognition of when the next scene takes place.

We then chose to think of where our characters will be when we are filming this section of our film opening. We chose to have the stalker behind the victim when she is walking down beside the river. We then thought of ways to film this. We have chosen to film the same section from different locations to then hopefully create a smooth run when we come to filming.

We then decided the postions of where they will walk and when they will stop. This will help us when filming because it will help us to explain to our actions when we start to film of where they will need to stand and when and where they will need to stop walking.

We chose to make a phone call in our film, so we planned out what will happen during this phone call. We have chosen to use the stalker phoning a girl called 'Pulse' (this is our films title). This will then cause a close up of the girl answering her phone to someone 'Unknown'.

We then chose to have the stalker walking behind the girl when she is trying to work out who is calling her to have the stalker smell her hair when he walks past her this will then make the audience know that he is the one who kills her from the first scene to the opening. We have chosen to have a mid close up shot of this to emphasise the importance of him smelling her hair.

I might pick out a specific moment where you're using narrative /genre features just to demonstrate your understanding
